WSDOT also requested a schedule showing the expected durations for this work. Since that time, WSDOT and STP have exchanged additional letters and engaged in a number of verbal conversations on the subject and as of January 10, 2014, STP has only provided general information but not the detailed information that WSDOT requested. On January 10, 2014 WSDOT Verbally asked STP again for a comprehensive work plan and decision plan for addressing the current TBM stoppage. In response to this most recent request, STP provided an email on January 11 describing Seattle Tunnel Partners' plan to conduct a hyperbaric intervention on the tunnel boring machine. A complete plan must contain sufficient information for WSDOT to understand what investigatory measures are being put into motion, what repairs and object removal measures may need to be implemented, the time needed for these measures, and why this is the best approach to facilitate timely resumption of mining. To these points, in order to better understand the overall planned work sequence and possible consequences, we have several questions about STP's current plan and require your response by close of business January 14, 20 14. 1. Your I-Iyperbaric Operations and Safety Manual was Released For Construction on May 24, 2013. Please confirm this plan is still current and the upcoming operations are to be performed consistent with this plan. If the plan is not current, a revised plan must be submitted immediately. \lVl:'1at specific items or sub areas inthe TBM do you plan to inspect, e. g. every tool, every spoke, and every opening in the face, or some subset of that, and how much time do you anticipate it willtake to complete all desired inspections? 3. Provide more details aboutwhat actions will or could be required as a result of the inspections, and how long each action is anticipated to take, if needed. 4.
