Rep or t On ly 244 Waco ISD Stage 4 Discipline Procedures to address deficient areas Indicator #3 Expulsions over age 10 1. Retrained all DAEP administrators of expulsion procedures. (Jan 9, 2014) a. Addresses what are expellable offences b. Addresses what codes must be written on the referrals c. Addresses how to code students who continue at DAEP from the previous school year. 2. Three sets of administrators (DAEP administrator, hearing officer, JJAEP principal) must approve ensure the proper coding for expulsion: a. Ensures that the proper discipline code has been recorded on the referral 3. Student management will confirm three days after expulsion hearing that proper expulsion coding has been entered into the student information system. Student management has an expulsion chart where confirmation can be confirmed, recorded, and dated. 4. At the start of each school year, student management will confirm that each student who remains at JJAEP from the previous year is properly coded as a “continuer”. Indicator #5 Expulsion under age 6 1. Review DAEP age requirements with campus administrators in the fall when we go over the student code of conduct. 2. DAEP admission staff must review the age of all early elementary students when the family arrives for orientation. Immediate identification of underage student will result in the student being returned to his/her home campus and the principal being documented.
