Box 30 Littleton, CO 80160 RE: Unauthorized use and modi?cation of copyrighted photograph Dear Mr. Neville, It has come to our attention that an image included in a ?ier for your campaign is an altered version of a photograph of a Jefferson County school protest, published Sept. 23, 2014, on the Twitter feed of Denver Post employee Eric Gorski. Not only does the use of the photograph infringe copyright interests, it violates other intellectual property laws by unlawfully associating The Denver Post with your campaign. It also violates basic transparency principles by altering a photograph 'ithout informing the readers. Finally, it offends the Fair Use policies in place by Twitter and creates an actionable claim by the person pictured in the photograph holding the sign. We request that your campaign immediately cease and desist continued use of the image. If you fail to do so, we will take whatever additional steps we believe to be in the ')est interest of The Denver Post. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, .40 - Linda Shapley Attached: Screenshot of Eric Gorski tweet with unaltered image Screenshot of altered photo in campaign literature
