R.J. Pirlot, Executive Assistant to Chairperson Phil Montgomery R. J. Pirlot serves as Executive Assistant to Phil Montgomery, Chairperson of the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. As Executive Assistant, Mr. Pirlot manages the day-to-day operations of the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin and assists Chairperson Montgomery in his decision making. Mr. Pirlot grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin, and graduated from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wisconsin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went on to earn a juris doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mr. Pirlot has also successfully completed executive education courses offered by the University of Wisconsin Public Utilities Institute, Michigan State Institute of Public Utilities, New Mexico State University Center for Public Utilities, and the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security. After law school, he worked for the Wisconsin State Assembly and, for the nine years prior to going to work for Chairperson Montgomery, worked as Director of Legislative Relations for Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, the largest representative of businesses in Wisconsin. Mr. Pirlot and his wife, Anne, have two sons, Augustus and Gabriel. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, studying tae kwon do, and volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America.
