Dear Ms. Hearn, Ms. Williams, and Mr. Racino:
Coast Law Group LLP represents the wife of Cory Briggs. It is my understanding that
yesterday Ms. Williams and Mr. Racino attempted to interview Mr. Briggs, but that he terminated
the interview shortly after it began when it became clear the basis for the interview had been
misrepresented. When Mr. Briggs indicated his desire to conclude, Ms. Williams and Mr. Racino
sought to compel him to continue with the interview by threatening to expose some alleged
conflict of interest or other impropriety involving his wife and her former employer. While Mr.
Briggs’s wife is quite confident she has done nothing wrong, I write to remind you that unlike her
husband she is not a public figure or even a quasi-public figure. Indeed, she is an entirely
private figure.
