About the CV FRESH Logo Contest The CV FRESH Logo Contest seeks to establish a local brand that will help consumers identify food and farm products produced in the Coachella Valley and neighboring Imperial Valley. OFFICIAL RULES & ENTRY INFO  The decisions of the Selection Committee will be final.  The selected winner MUST submit a scalable vector version of the winning design so that it is adaptable to electronic and print media, to reproduction on small and large surfaces, and to use in color or in grayscale. Graphic design assistance will be available to the winner for this.  Contestants are encouraged to refer to branding guidelines below. OFFICIAL RULES The purpose of this contest is to design a logo for the CV FRESH Logo Contest. The logo may be used in all media – including online, print, on merchandise and other visual collateral. Following are the official contest rules:  To be eligible, each entrant must be a resident of the Coachella Valley or Imperial Valley.  Any fruit or vegetable images used in the design must be of produce grown in the Coachella Valley or Imperial Valley.  Individuals or groups may submit no more than ONE entry which must be accompanied by an ENTRY FORM.  All submitted work must be the original work of the entrant(s) and must not include, be based on, or derived from any pre-existing or third-party designs, trademarks, or copyrighted images.   All entries will become the property of ShareKitchen for the USDA LFPP - CV FRESH Project. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees that any and all intellectual property rights in the logo design are deemed assigned to ShareKitchen - A 501(c)(3) California Public Benefit Corporation. Except where prohibited by law, an entry submission into this contest constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, likeness, prize information, and information provided on the entry form for publicity purposes without further permission or compensation. ShareKitchen reserves the right to modify the winning logo to better fit the needs of the CV FRESH Project. “Federal funds for this project were awarded under the Local Food Promotion Program of the Agricultural Marketing Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.” HOW TO ENTER:  Complete official Entry Form on the next page  Create a logo design in .jpeg or PDF formats (If you are chosen as a winner your file will be converted into a high resolution vector file)  Submit your completed Entry Form and logo design to CVFRESH@ShareKitchen.org by Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:59pm PST. SELECTION CRITERIA A Selection Committee will evaluate all entries based on the following criteria (though other criteria may be considered):  Relevance – Does the entry align with the theme, goals and rules of the CV FRESH Logo Project?  Originality – Does the composition exhibit original design, creativity and imagination?  Aesthetic Quality – Does the submission command attention? Does it display visual balance and color coordination? Do all of the elements work together to create a unified and appealing design?
