You asked: It was reported in December that Cressida Dick, the former assistant commissioner at the Met Police, had joined the Foreign Office to take up a new post at the director general level. I would like to obtain from you information regarding Ms. Dick's job title, role and responsibilities, and salary remuneration package. I am writing to confirm that we have now completed the search for the information which you requested. I can confirm that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) does hold information relevant to your request. Ms Dick is employed as a Director General. The salary range of all Senior Civil Servant including Director Generals are set centrally. This can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/senior-civilservice-performance-management-and-reward When we sent our earlier reply on 12 February, we had searched for information which we thought was relevant to your request and we were considering some information under section 24 – national security – which is a qualified exemption. However, on closer inspection, we now consider this information is not within the scope of your request. In keeping with the spirit and effect of the Freedom of Information Act, all information is assumed to be releasable to the public unless it is exempt. The information we have supplied to you may now be published on our website together with any related information that will provide a key to its wider context.
