GT Resolution 09-18-10-A 203 3 Land Acquisition Plan WHEREAS, the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin is a federally recognized Indian government and a treaty tribe recognized by the laws of the United States of America; and WHEREAS, the Oneida General Tribal'Council is the governing body of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin; and WHEREAS, the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin presently has re-acquired ownership of approximately thirty-?ve percent of the Oneida Reservation lands; and WHEREAS, the greater the ownership of land the greater the Tribe?s in?uence in land use and development within the Reservation through the Oneida Tribe?s zoning, land use, and development decisions; and WHEREAS, the Land Commission and the Division of Land Management have prepared a 2033 Acquisition Plan, which provides for the re-acquisition of 75% of the Reservation within a 23 year period of time. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the General Tribal Council enacts this resolution to provide for a stable and adequate budget for the Land Commission and the Division of Land Management to meet the goal of re-acquiring 75% of the Reservation within a twenty- three year period of time. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, starting in ?scal year 2011 and continuing through ?scal year 2033, funds shall be allocated in the budget for the implementation of the 2033 Acquisition Plan, with the following minimum allocations: 0 $5 million in FY2011 $7 million in FY2012 $9 million in FY2013 $11 million in FY2014 $12 million in FY2015-FY2019 10% increase over FY2019 in FY2020-2024 10% increase over FY2024 in FY2025-2029 10% increase over FY2029 in FY2030-2033 Will Resolution GTE 0948-10-3 Page 2 of 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that from Fiscal Year 2011 through Fiscal Year 2033, 25% of the audited carry-forward money from the ?scal year two years prior to the current ?scal year shall be allocated in the budget for the implementation of the 2033 Acquisition Plan. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the allocation of these funds shall be contingent upon the Tnbe continuing to have a gaming compact with the State of Wisconsin.
