This year, 97 percent of students applying to a school their sibling currently attends were matched to their sibling’s school. Additionally, families with concurrently applying siblings were given the opportunity to opt-in to Family Link, a mechanism that prioritizes assigning students to the same school wherever possible. This year, 82 percent of family-linked families were enrolled at school together, an increase from last year’s 71 percent. 62% choices OneApp gives families an opportunity to apply to schools all over the city, while also giving students priority to attend are outside of the school close to home if they would prefer to do so. This student’s geographic year, 93 percent of students who strongly preferred to zone go to school within their geographic zone* were placed in-zone.
