Tony – Thanks you for your call and inquiry into the memo I wrote last year. As you know, we (PGE) take security very seriously especially in the aftermath of the Metcalf shooting event in April 2013. We have made many changes to how we look at and address security concerns here and in my memo I did raise areas I believe still needed additional focus. As a result of that memo, the company embraced the recommendations and has supported a number of changes. Since August 2014, we have done the following:  Reexamined and augmented the funding mechanism for Corporate Security;  Began conducting monthly reviews of security for senior management;  Realigned the Corporate Security Department closer to the lines of business it supports;  Significantly upgraded permanent and temporary staff for Corporate Security; and  Secured an outside, third-party security firm to conduct a review of the organizational structure of PG&E Security. The review has been completed and is informing our multi-year upgrade plan. We have a number of other projects underway which will serve not only PGE but its customers in providing for a safer and more secure enterprise. Beyond this, I am not going to address any more specifics for obvious security reasons. As a reminder, and in addition to what I noted earlier, after the Metcalf incident, we launched a new, $100 million multi-year security program to protect our most important substations. This is being implemented over a three-year period and we are making good progress. As you know, the program includes adding the following to many of our substations:    Barriers around the perimeter to shield equipment and obstruct views inside the substation; Enhanced detection and deterrent systems; and, Improved lighting and camera systems. I do feel strongly that PG&E heard the concerns of my department and we are moving forward making sure that our security efforts are optimally aligned, resourced and integrated with our businesses. Thanks again for your inquiry and I hope this answers your concerns. Best regards, Stephanie Douglas Senior Director, Corporate Security Pacific Gas and Electric Company I Risk & Audit
