Some observations of "Iess-than-perfect" conditions at Iowa Rabbit this past week: 1.
The hand sink in the eviscerating room is still non-functional. 2. Condensation
continues to be something to monitor and control more diligently. 3. Sanitizer mixing
is still an issue, both in regard to consistent safe usage and in your monitoring
records. Your SOPs and your SSOP records are not coordinated, viz. the goal of
sanitizer at (4) (according to SOP is not being recorded at a numerical
value to indicate whether or not your goal is being achieved. (cf. #45101223136
for prior discussion regarding sanitizer issues) 4. Assuring water availability for rabbits
"over-nighted" in crates during cold weather. Small watering bowls and the nipple
waterers have tended to freeze.

1. Wet rabbits in bottom crates. Something which the haulers are doing is allowing
the bottom rabbits to get wet. This is a concern both as an animal welfare issue, and
as a sanitary dressing issue. 2. Condensation in the evisceration room and in the cut-
up/racking room continues to be an issue. Note that this has been addressed in two
previous MOls. mentioned that some thought needed to be given to the
concern in order to correct it properly, and that it wouldn't be ?xed immediately.
