Upon arrival Officer Newman #165 stated he observed a black male with a white tank top and shorts hoping the fence running westbound from the rear of this residence. At that time Officer Dietz #137 deployed K-9 Hank for a track in the last known location while I trailed them with K-9 Tomy. K-9 Hank's track ended at an open shed in the back yard of 240 Granada Blvd. At that time I made two K-Q annoucments to anyone inside. I had K-9 Tomy bark after each announcement and then had him stop and listened for any response. No response was heard at which time I deployed K-9 Tomy inside to clear the shed. Immediately I saw K-9 Tomy go toward the Submitted by (attach supplement if needed): PFC. zs?s? Hi Officer's [Dii Date . . .- 5W7 Ser?g?eant?s ignature lDii Dat? Almost simultaneously I observed a black males leg kick K-9 Tomy in the side of his head knocking K-9 Tomy back. K-9 Tomy immediately came back at the subject and subsequently bit him in the right thigh. I entered the shed with my weapon drawn while giving loud verbal commands for the subject to show his hands. Once he showed his hands and back up Officers secured them both, I gave K-9 Tomy the command to release, which he did. While waiting on Sarasota County Fire Department to respond the subject spontaneously uttered I'l heard you yell and the dog barking, but i didn't hear what you said so I just kept quiet". He was later transported to North Port ER for treatment. Photographs were taken and placed into property and evidence. NPPD-119 Page 3 of 3 ll?llitl.
