The below flowchart displays the customs requirements for humanitarian cargo entering the country. Information displayed in the chart is subject to change according to modifications in procedures and additional evidence which might be made available. NO Is your organisation registered in Nepal? Apply for registration or proceed through local registered partner DONE YES REFUSED Apply for exemption of customs duty for incoming humanitarian cargo via relevant Ministry indicated in the MoU of registration. Pay customs duties DONE For certain types of cargo additional documents are required i.e. Telecomunication equipment SPECIAL CASES Responsible Ministry writes a letter to Ministry of Finance requesting customs exemption for applicable items (see list) REQUIRES Approval by Ministry of Home Affairs APPROVED APPROVED Partial or full Custom Duty exemption by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
