Re: Cease and Desist - Federal Air Marshals Exposed to Lead Poisoning
Dear Acting Administrator Carraway:

Kindly be advised that i am General Counsel to the Federal Law
Enforcement Officers Association This CEASE AND DESIST
demand is to inform you that Federal Air Marshals are being
overexposed to lead at their own gun ranges as well as federally
contracted ranges.

There is substantial documented medical evidence that federal officers
have suffered lead poisoning after being trained at law enforcement
ranges where leadwcoated surfaces and inadequate ventilation exists, as
well as other health and safety violations.

The Federal Air Marshal Service has connected with unsafe commercial
gun ranges with a history of (acct:th violations. These commercial
gun ranges have exposed thousands ofgen range workers, shooters,
and their family members to lead comination due to poor ventilation
and lead contaminated surfaces.

FLEOA demands that the Tra nswtatiee Security Administration
immediately CEASE AND DESIST     with or otherwise utilizing
any gun range that has not been  by or received an up-to-date
clearance from OSHA that the range were from toxic poisoning.
