DECISION AND ORDER On March 30, 2015, the plaintiff filed a renewed motion for appointment of counsel. He asserts that he has unsuccessfully attempted to find an attorney on his own. According to the plaintiff, his severe mental illnesses prevent him from conducting discovery as well as filing or responding to a dispositive motion. The plaintiff states that he is awaiting transfer to the Wisconsin Resource Center to receive treatment for his mental illnesses.1 In this case, he is proceeding on claims that the defendants were deliberately indifferent to his serious medical needs because they failed to treat his mental illnesses. His claims span almost ten years and several institutions. Under these circumstances, the Court concludes that he is unable to proceed on his own. The defendants have filed a motion for extension of time to file dispositive motions and for an order allowing additional proposed findings of fact. They seek a one-week extension to file their motion. The defendants also seek leave to file up to 350 proposed findings of fact based on the number of defendants and the nature of the plaintiff’s clams. The Court will grant both of these requests. Finally, the Court notes that the plaintiff sued several John Doe defendants. The plaintiff must identify the Doe defendants by June 10, 2015, or they will be dismissed. NOW, THEREFORE, BASED ON THE FOREGOING, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT the plaintiff’s renewed appointment of counsel (ECF No. 23) is GRANTED. motion for The Court will attempt to find an attorney to represent the plaintiff pro bono.
