You very kindly wrote to The Duke of Rothesay inviting him to attend and
speak at the Low Carbon Investment Conference in Edinburgh at the end of
September. -

I hope you will forgive my responding on His Royal Highness?s behalf, but I
thought it might. save a little time to let you know that, Unfortunately, The Duke of
Rothesay is not available to travel to Et?nburgh at that time. I am sorry to have to
send a disappointing response, and I have informed His Royal Highness of your kind
invitation. As you. are aware, this in no way re?ects on the subject matter and
The Duke of Rothesay has asked me to send his very best wishes for the success of the
conference but, sadly, pressures on the diary mean that it is simply impossible for him
to be there. May I ask, however, if a message from His Royal Highness would be of
any help? If so, I will put the necessary arrangements in
