Mr. Cardy,
‘This letter is to inform you that the Progressive Conservative caucus supported my
recommendation to expel you. As a group we found your conduct and your actions, most
notably, over the last few days to be inexcusable.
During the meeting you and | had on Thursday morning, | informed you of my deep concern
over the lack of improvement in our education system, and | also informed you of my
decision to remove you from Cabinet. | was surprised to then immediately receive your
resignation letter. | believe the content of the letter is vindictive and misleading. Itis
unfortunate and hurtful that you chose to leave in this way.
That being said, | am going to move forward, doing the hard work our team was elected to
do. | am focused on making improvements that benefit New Brunswick in critical areas like
health and education.
It's time for us all to rise above and stay focused on the mission at hand.
