PEACE AFFIDAVIT FOR WARRANT OF ARREST

THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF 

I. D. Cawthon #697, A PEACE OFFICER OF THE CITY OF IRVING. DALLAS
COUNTY. TEXAS. DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I HAVE GOOD REASON TO
BELIEVE AND DO BELIEVE THAT Miguel Angel Martinez, HEREIN CALLED THE
DEFENDANT, ON THE 29th DAY OF August. 2015. IN DALLAS COUNTY. TEXAS.
DID THEN AND THERE COMMIT THE OFFENSE 0F Capital Murder. P.C. 19.03. A
Capital Offense

BELIEF IS BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING 

On 8-29-15 at approximately 10:37am, Irving Police responded to a shooting at
2032 Meadow Lark in Irving, Dallas County, Texas. Upon arrival they found
Maurice Crawford deceased in the front yard from a single gunshot wound. They
also found Demorius Docking in the driveway area and he had been shot once in
the head. Demorius was conscious and talking. Demorius told the of?cers that he
was inside the house when he heard something outside. He looked out and saw
that his Mother's boyfriend, Maurice, was being attacked in the front yard. He
immediately recognized both of the attackers as being schoolmates ofhis. He
went outside and yelled for them to stop. He saw that one of the suspects,

was on the ground with Maurice. The other suspect, Miguel, was
Standing with a gun. told Miguel to "shoot him". He yelled at him not to
shoot. He then saw Miguel shoot Maurice. Miguel then walked over to him. He
pleaded for Miguel not to shoot him . Miguel then raised the gun and shot
Demorius in the face.

Miguel was arrested and during a recorded interview he admitted that he and
went out to commit a robbery for some money. They saw Maurice sitting

In his car smoking. They decided to rob him. pulled the gun and

approached Maurice from behind and told him to get out of the car and give me

everything you got. Maurice got out and started ?ghting with

dropped the gun during the fight. Miguel picked up the gun and admitted to

shooting both Maurice and Demorius.

Based upon the above facts and circumstances. the Af?ant requests that a

warrant of arrest be issued for the defendant. Miguel Angel Martinez, for the
offense of Capital Murder, P.C. 19.03. a Capital Offense.
