This score sample is equal to both 32 measures or 60 seconds of material. This piece works to be a sound and score reflection of the structure itself The Green Monster. Connected and held together by beams and facets, this spatial score is also held together by interlocking parts which react and bolt into one another. Vertical red dotted lines show "triggers" in which groups synchronize with leading voices and aural cues. Musical events are to be executed in relation to the large blue verticle lines and duration (of tremolos) are determined by the length of the beam. Markings such as =5= indicate that 5 evenly spaced notes are to be played in the space of the temporal markings. It is to be understood that the time between each blue line is at least 2 seconds, therefore each system should last no less than 30 seconds. 2 R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R F3 Freeze! As chamber communication is difficult in the environment, the players must listen diligently to each other. I believe music is a physical event. Directions of movement, such as freezes after attacks are for theatrical effect. Much of my work often bleeds concepts of visual art and performance art into musical events.
