I wanted to run this by you to get your opinion before I made any formal requests or decisions. I think our time with the
Yardarm folks needs to come to an end. We have carried the sensors, provided data, and provided feedback for several
months. The next step they are likely going to request is integration with dispatch. This is going to be problematic for
several reasons, but the 2 main ones are the flux that is about to occur with dispatch (including them learning a new
CAD) and IT (Xerox). I don?t really want to ask them to support this project because I don't anticipate that it is a
technology that will be viable for us. I know that the Chief has been leery of it thus far, so I am wondering if he wants us
to continue with it or if he would care if I sent their equipment back. The other issue has been finding folks that want to
help with the testing. It is somewhat cumbersome to carry the cell phone and ensure the that device has a fresh
battery. Blah, blah, ready to end it.
