Friday 14th September 198? the Anti-Apartheid Movement

held a demonstration in Central London to protest against apartheid
and the recently held government elections in South Africa.
Proceedings were orderly throughout and no arrests were made..

SW1, at 1800 hours and at 1830 hours approximately 120 persons
moved off in procession along Whitehall, to Trafalgar Square and

wanted-for murder". Further chanting and shouting occurred as
the demonstrators passed South Africa House but due to the
varied choruses that erupted from the different factions it was
not possible to understand exactly what was called.
