I for a certain fact know that some things are already in Latin America, and have passed hands for some pretty figures. I know cf a cache of paintings being kept somefihere in Colombia, at least so boasted to me a crafty little dealer who seems to appear and disappear in and out of Panama, and who has direct connections with Argentina. Up until last year, that is until America's entry into the war, shipments from Germany via Spain reached Colombia quite easily. Lote of stuff was stopped by the English, but much got through. Generally speaking, art dealere in Latin America are even less scrupulous than elsewhere when it comes to turning a so-called honest penny...At any rate, it is to be expected that not much of the European loot will find its way into museum collections in Latin America.
