RE: Additional Revenue Stream - Independent Medical Reviews

Dear Dr.
I am writing to bring to your attention a busin ess opportunity. Galaxy Health Network, a leader in healthcare cost
containm ent, has entered into a new relationship with Exam Coordinators Network (ECN). ECN provides
Independent Medical Examinations for a variety of clients. However, specifically under this relationship, EeN is a
provider of Independent Medical Reviews (IMR's) for Maxfmus In Cali forni a. Maximus, under California regulations,

is the exclusive source of IMR's for all workers' compensation claims in the state.
To qualify, you must:

1. Be In full time practice (defined as 20+ clinica l hours weekly)
2. Be without credentialing impediments
3. Be Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, Physica l Medicine & Rehab, Pain Management, Emergency
Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
4. Never have been certified under California regulations as a "Qualified Medical Examiner" (QME).
5, Have been in the clinical practice of medicine for more than five yearSj
6. Not cu rrently be, and never have been debarred by any Federal, state or government agency;
7. Be licensed to practice medicine in the field that typica lly deals with the medical issue wh ich is the subject of
the IMR;
8. Maintain malpractice insurance in sufficient amount to be in compliance with all relevant state laws an d
Maintain worker's compensation an d other insurance in compliance with all relevant state laws,
Provided you meet these requirements, we hope that you will agree to participate as we look forward to working
with quality providers who can benefit from this unique opportunity.
When you agree, by returning the enclosed agreement we will supply you with additional information as to how to
register. Th ere is a three stage testing process that is required as part of the registration. These tests mimic the
type of cases you will be reviewing and will allow you to gain an understanding of what ECN and Maximus are
expecting of you and your reviews.
Performing IMR's under thi s arrangement will allow you to add an additional revenue stream of $50 a case to you r
bottom line, We have been advised th at once a provider is in the rhythm of performing these reviews th ey should
easily be able to perform 4-5 an hour. I n today's changing heal t hcare environment, you may find this opportunity
for ad ditional revenue to be of benefit.
