The Tilted Kilt located in Ft. Myers will close
its doors today due to declining sales over
the last 12 months. This also means that the
highly successful Belushi’s Comedy Bar will
be forced to temporarily cancel its shows.
Current negotiations are under way with the
assistance of the Tilted Kilt Corporate Office
and a current Tilted Kilt franchisee to
purchase the Fort Myers location.
Their
plans would be to re-open the Kilt with some
renovations, new menu, uniforms and more.
Belushi’s Comedy Bar would re-open upstairs
until late April and would re-locate at that
time.
Creating a new brand by the current partners
is also being considered. A brand that would
enhance the Belushi’s Comedy Bar. In this
case, Belushi’s would reopen along with the
new brand downstairs. Jim Belushi is
currently reviewing the options and wants to
be certain that it would be a restaurant that

 would serve the comedy guests and the local
community offering something very special.
All shows have been cancelled until the
decisions have been made. Refunds for any
advance ticket sales have been issued. Call
