Dear David,

Following our discussion with you and Moira McCaffrey on February we now realize that our memo,
dated lanuary 31?, 2012, could be interpreted in ways that we did not intend. As a result, we
respectfully withdraw our memo, and the statements made therein.

Please note that we wrote the memo as a strictly internal document which was not to be shared with
anyone beyond the listed recipients. Furthermore, we wish to make it clear that we will not discuss the
content of that letter with any parties outside of the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
