AMENDING THE RULES OF THE HOUSE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ARCHIVING OF

VIDEO AND AUDIO STREAMS OF HOUSE PROCEEDINGS AND COMMITTEE

PROCEEDINGS.

WHEREAS, House Rule 24-1 provides that the rules of the

16

house may be amended by a two-thirds' vote of the members of

17

the house or by a majority vote of the members of the house

18

upon the recommendation of the house rules and order of

19

business committee;

20

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF

21

REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that House Rule

22

9-5-8 be amended to read:

23

"9-5-8

During any session of the forty-ninth legislature,

24

live audio streams and, during any session of the

25

fiftieth and subsequent legislatures, live audio and

video streams, of house standing committee

proceedings shall be accessible through the

3

legislature's [web site] website in a manner

4

befitting the house of representatives, including an

5

appropriate user interface.

adjourned or upon order of the chair.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that House Rule 23-8-1 be amended

to read:

(a)

practicable after a motion to recess or adjourn has

carried, or upon the order of the speaker;

such that the material can be read or viewed except
