SAFE PARKING LOT CODE OF CONDUCT & SERVICE AGREEMENT Parking and Case Management Requirements:  Participation in Case Management services is required.  Short-term, relevant, and achievable goals defined by you and your Case Manager must be achieved on a continuous basis in order to continue parking in the Safe Lot.  Each eligible household will receive a Safe Parking Lot Permit. Every person in the household must take part in an intake and be listed on the Parking Permit.  Each Permit lasts for 30 Days and can be renewed by your Case Manager. If your Permit is not renewed you must exit the Safe Lot within 72 hours of expiration or your vehicle will be towed.  Only one vehicle per household will be permitted. If a vehicle shows signs of being hazardous (leaking gas, electrical burns, etc.) it cannot be granted entry.  Park only in your assigned space and always display your Permit on your dashboard. Permits are non-transferable and unauthorized vehicles will be towed.  Please provide the Site Coordinator or your Case Manager with notice if you decide to leave the program.  Please provide the Site Coordinator or your Case Manager with notice if you plan to take a trip for one or more nights.  If your vehicle or parking spot has been abandoned without notice for 48 hours or more, your Safe Parking Permit will become void, and your vehicle will be towed if necessary. ____________________________________________________________________________________ For the Safety of All Participants:  This Safe Lot is a drug and alcohol free zone. Those caught drinking or using drugs on the premises will be asked to leave.  No manufacturing, selling, or distributing illegal drugs.  No weapons are allowed.  Any violence or threats of violence will not be tolerated. Please attempt to resolve any conflict in a peaceful manner.  Degrading ethnic, racist, sexist or homophobic remarks are not acceptable. No verbal abuse or intimidation will be tolerated.  No stealing.  No vandalism or damaging of property belonging to other Participants, the Site Operator, or anyone else in the area. Violations will result in immediate expulsion from the Safe Lot. Violators will have 24 hours to remove their vehicle before it is towed. ____________________________________________________________________________________ For the Health and Wellbeing of All Participants:  No open flames are allowed in the vehicles or on the premises.  No vehicles should be idling while parked.  Generators may be used for up to 4 HOURS every day between 10 AM and 5 PM. Exceptions may be made by the Site Coordinator for Participants who are at work or school during those hours.  Absolutely no dumping of waste on Safe Lot.  Any spills of waste, oil, or otherwise must be reported to the Site Coordinator and/or the Security Staff immediately. Violations will result in immediate expulsion from the Safe Lot. Violators will have 24 hours to remove their vehicle before it is towed. ____________________________________________________________________________________ In Order to be Good Neighbors:  Act with respect toward all fellow participants, neighbors, and service providers.  Quiet Hours are from MIDNIGHT to 7 AM.  No loud music or noise that disturbs neighbors at any time.  Participants may have guests, but all guests must sign in and must leave during Quiet Hours.  No VEHICLE can exit from or enter into the lot during Quiet Hours unless permission from the Site Coordinator is granted ahead of time for work or school. Pedestrians can exit and enter at any time.  No loitering or disturbing neighbors.  No trespassing on nearby business or private property.  No littering on the Site or in the surrounding area. Dispose of all garbage and recyclables in the proper containers.  Community spaces are to be shared among all Safe Lot Participants.  Pets are permitted as long as they are not aggressive and as long as owners: o Keep pets on leash, in a carrier, or in your vehicle at all times o Properly dispose of pet waste  No property can be stored outside or under your vehicle. Lawn chairs are allowed but must be stored in your vehicle when not in use. Any awnings or other property that disrupt line of sight must be taken down and stored in your vehicle during Quiet Hours. Violations of the above will result in a 3 Day Notice to Comply or Vacate. Once any household receives three of these Notices, their Parking Permit will be void they will be asked to leave the Safe Lot. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Reporting & Response  If you witness any violations of this Code of Conduct you must immediately notify the Site Coordinator and/or the Security Staff. The Site Operator and the Service Provider will determine what further action will be taken.  If it is decided that you have been expelled from the Safe Lots, you will have 24 hours to exit on your own. If you do not leave, your vehicle will be towed by the Site Operator and you will not be allowed back into the Safe Lot. ____________________________________________________________________________________ By signing below, I acknowledge that I have received a copy of the Safe Parking Lot Code of Conduct and agree to abide by it.
