SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Restoring Internet 5 Freedom Act’’. 6 7 SEC. 2. LIMITATION ON AUTHORITY OF FCC. (a) IN GENERAL.—The rule adopted by the Federal 8 Communications Commission in GN Docket No. 14–28 on OLL16055 S.L.C. 2 1 February 26, 2015 (relating to broadband Internet access 2 service) shall have no force or effect, and the Commission 3 may not reissue such rule in substantially the same form, 4 or issue a new rule that is substantially the same as such 5 rule, unless the reissued or new rule is specifically author6 ized by a law enacted after the date of enactment of this 7 Act. 8 (b) RULE DEFINED.—In this section, the term 9 ‘‘rule’’ has the meaning given the term in section 804 of 10 title 5, United States Code.
