Dear Kidstreet Family.

Thank you for your patience as we have worked through a difficult process the last
few weeks.

As you. may know,- an anonymous complaint about our center was filed on May 13,
2013. Both the Missouri Department of Health (DOH) and the Children?s Division of
the Department of Social Services came to our site to speak with our staff and
review our policies and procedures. As a matter of explanation the CD deals with the
. child-tree and. DOM deals with-~th-e- policies and procedures
ofOur center. 

The original allegations were abuse/neglect. The specific allegations were as
follows: - 
1. A. child. had been placed in a dark room as punishment.
2. A. Child had been given Benadryl without the permission of parents.
3. An upset child had been removed from the situation by holding her wrist too

4. A child in a classroom had showed aggressive behavior that was not being
addressed by the staff.

investigation found: all of the allegations to be unsubstantiated.

DOH also reviewed our facility as a result o'f'the complaint. We were cited as being
non?Compliant on the issues below:-

1. Ratios/Supervision

2. Correct paperwork and policy for distribution of medication

For ratios two classes were found to have morestudents in them on a regular basis
that is allowed by 0111? recorded Notice of Parent Responsibility. in addition, the
practice in place was for one teacher_to sit between the doors. of two classrooms to
break-each other for- lunch. Both of these issues have-been- corrected. We have
submitted a corrective action plan to DOH and it has accepted our plan.

As you know we have made changes regarding the forms and distribution of
medication to the children. We. can no longer maintain medication on. site or have a
form in place that allows medication to be distributed ?as needed.?

This has been a stressful time for all parties involved. This is the first time. our
center has received a compliant. Though thish-a's been a difficult time, Kidstreet
remains committed to the well?being of all of the children entrusted to our care.

There have been changes. Mrs. Kathy McFall tendered her resignation as Director of
Ki-d's-treet to pursue other opportunities. We wish Mrs. M-cFall great success in her
future. Also, you may have noticed some new staff that ha-Ve joined Kidstreet and
will continue to notice some. new faces. Mrs. Jennifer Gapsch will be the new 4 year
old teacher and begins this week.

We would also like to introduce our new Day-care Director, Mrs. Karen Hunter. Mrs.
Hunter has served as director. of three facilities in her career. She is certified with
the state of Missouri to be: a Daycare director- and is also a certified Child Care
Trainer in. the state of Missouri. Karen brings a'wea-lth. of knowledge and experience
with her. Her first day at the center will be July 8, 2013.
