I have received your Petition to Expunge in each of the above referenced ?les. I have
reviewed your supporting materials, as well as the District Attorney Mr. Naze's written response
dated August 27, 2013. Under a recent Appellate Court decision, this Court has no power to
expunge your record of conviction when the Court did not address expungement at the time of
sentencing. See we, vs. MataseLt, 2013 WI App 63, 348 Wis. 2d 243. Neither of your ?les
re?ects any reference to expungement at the time of sentencing, so this Court has no authority to
grant your Petition in either case.

I note that Mr. Naze does agree thatin the interest of justice, the Cotut can. directthe
Clerk of Court to seal your name on CCAP in regard to the cases, so that at least some of your
concerns alluded to in your submissions are addressed. If you want me to follow Mr. Naze's
suggestion and seal your name on CCAP, please advise me in writing. I, however, cannot take
any further action in regard to your Petitions for Expungernent for the reasons stated in this letter.
