The w/m was later identified as Vadym Kholodenko 09/04/1986. Kholodenko appeared dazed or like he was in shock according to Officer Wallace. Officer Wallace asked Kholodenko about the injured female. Kholodenko led Officer Wallace to the residence master bedroom. Officer Wallace entered the bedroom and noticed a w/f kneeling on the floor, just inside of the doorway. The w/f was later identified as Sofya Tsygankova 05-09-84, Texas DL . Tsygankova was rocking back and forth, and making noises. Officer Wallace was unable to understand what She was saying. Tsygankova was wearing a mid?length night gown that was covered in blood. Officer Wallace observed blood on both of her arms as well. Officer Wallace noticed a cut on the inside of her left wrist. Officer Wallace noticed a puncture wound on Tsygankova's chest, near the inside of her left breast. Officer Wallace asked Kholodenko about the child that was reported to be inside the residence. Kholodenko made Slow arm gestures, and was speaking very softly. Officer Wallace was unable to understand what Kholodenko was saying. Officer Wallace noticed a child lying on the master bedroom bed. The child was later identified as Michela Kholodenko 07/13/14. Michela was lying on her back, and there was a light colored fluid running out of her mouth. Her skin was described as ashen in color. Officer Wallace checked the child for a pulse and was unable to locate one. Michela was very cold to the touch, and appeared to have signs of rigor mortis. Michela was fully dressed. Officer Wallace spoke briefly to Kholodenko, and he advised the following: He arrived at the residence to pick up his children and take them to school. No one answered the front door at the residence. Kholodenko entered the residence by opening the unlocked front door. Kholodenko located Tsygankova in the master bedroom closet. bleeding. Whiteside completed search warrant for 6627 Waterwood Trail. Benbrook. Tarrant County Texas. The search warrant was signed by District Judge G. Gallagher on 03/17/16 at 1:38 pm. I assisted in processing the residence after the warrant was signed. I entered the residence and observed the following. I entered the bedroom in the residence that was identified as the children's room. The room had child artwork on one of the walls, and was equipped with a crib. and a small bed. Nika was lying on the small bed. Mike was deceased with an ashen color and the appearance of rigor mortis. Nika was wearing a striped zip up style onesie. Nika?s bed was covered with a pink sheet, and her head was near a pillow covered with a pink pillowcase. There was an additional pillow resting on top of Nika?s pillow covered with a brown cloth pillowcase. There appeared to be a small spot of biological fluid on the brown pillowcase. The brown pillowcase matched the linen on the master bedroom bed. I entered the master bedroom and observed Michela was lying on the master bedroom bed. She was deceased with an ashen color and had the appearance of rigor mortis. There was a pillow covered with a brown cloth pillowcase partially resting on the child's head. The pillow had a slight indention on top consistent with the size of a small head. There appeared to be a small spot of biological fluid on the pillow. The driver side door was open on the vehicle and there appeared to be linens on the driver side seat. The linens appeared to be soiled with blood, and other biological fluids. The linens appeared to be from the master bedroom bed. There was a large amount of blood in and around the vehicle. There was a red suitcase stuffed under the rear bumper area of the vehicle. The suitcase appeared to have been used to brace a rag that had been stuffed into the vehicle exhaust tailpipe. There was a large amount of blood drops on the kitchen floor. I noticed an empty prescription bottle on the kitchen counter for Quetiapine 100 mg 30 count. The bottle showed to have been filled on 03/16/16, and was bearing the name of Sofya Tsygankova. There was a large amount of blood drOps on the rear patio. Sgt. Van Ness located a large butcher knife near the edge of the patio, obscured by a tree branch. The butcher knife had blood on the blade and handle. The master bedroom bathroom had blood on the floor and blood around the tub area. The bathroom connected to the closet, also had blood on the floor. There was a cleaver style knife on the inside rail of the tub. Next to the knife were three prescription bottles bearing the name of Sofya Tsygankova. Sgt. J. Van Ness #205 advised me he met with Vadym Kholodenko and he advised the following: On 03/16/16 at 9:00 pm Kholodenko called Tsygankova. Nika answered the phone and he talked with her. Kholodenko asked his daughter to give Tsygankova the phone. Tsygankova agreed that Kholodenko could pick Nika up from the residence on 03/17/16, and take her to school. Kholodenko stayed at a hotel outside of Benbrook on 03/16/16. On 03/17/16 at around 8:45 am Kholodenko left his hotel, and drove to Waterwood Trail in Benbrook. Kholodenko turned onto Waterwood Trail at 9:21 am. Kholodenko knocked on the front door and no one answered. Kholodenko Opened the front door, which was unlocked. Kholodenko walked inside of the residence and yelled to see if anyone was home. Kholodenko walked to the garage to see if Tsygankova may have already left. Tsygankova's vehicle was still parked in the garage. The driver side door was open, and there were linens stuffed inside the driver compartment of the vehicle. Kholodenko went back inside the residence and discovered Tsygankova and the children. Tsygankova had cuts on her wrist, and she was covered in blood. Both children were deceased when Kholodenko discovered them. On 03/17/16 Sgt. Van Ness and I met with Tsygankova at John Peter Smith Hospital. Tsygankova was in room P334 in the Intensive Care Unit. We asked Tsygankova about her injuries. Tsygankova stated that think I committed suicide?. Tsygankova agreed to waive her rights and speak with us. Tsygankova advised the following: Tsygankova arrived home on 03/16/16 at around 8:50 pm. The children were watched by a babysitter identified as Lyudmila Madmusaeva while Tsygankova was away from the residence. Madmusaeva had already put Michela to bed prior to Tsygankova arriving home. Tsygankova did check on Michela and she was fine. Michela was asleep in her crib in the kids? room. Madmusaeva left the residence at around 9:00 pm. Madmusaeva had already given Mike a bath or shower, and was putting her pajamas on her. Tsygankova put Nika to bed at around 9:15 pm 9:20 pm. She put Nika to bed in her bed, in the kids? bedroom. Michela was still asleep in the room as well. Tsygankova confirmed that she and the kids were the only people at the Waterwood Trail residence during the night. Tsygankova remembered that she had a knife at some point, and went outside with the knife. She took the knife outside because she ?didn't see any future for me and kids?. It was dark and there may have been lightning when she went outside. The kids were still sleeping in their beds in their bedroom when she went outside. When asked if she knew where her kids were Tsygankova stated that she hoped they were with their father. At one point in the interview Tsygankova asked ?did I do anything bad to my kids". Tsygankova mentioned that she put her kids in the car in the garage at some point. She thought she put the kid's in the car before she injured herself. Tsygankova was unable to remember any other details about what happened with the kids in the vehicle. Tsygankova made several mentions of a bad dream that she had that night, but was unable to elaborate fully about the dream. Tsygankova remembered Kholodenko arriving at the residence and stating "what have you done". Tsygankova assumed that he was talking about all of the blood. Anna Grevtseva was sent to the residence at the request of Tsygankova?s sister, Anna Tsygankova who lives in Amsterdam. She arrived while officers were still on scene and met with Lt. D. Martin. Grevtseva completed a written statement that advised the following: Tsygankova had been going through some difficult times because of the divorce. Tsygankova?s sister was very concerned and asked Grevtseva to stop by and check on Tsygankova, because she wasn?t answering her phone. Tsygankova has a history with MHMR. On 03/18/16 the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the cause of death a Homicide with the manner of death to Nika Kholodenko as homicidal violence pending investigation. It was learned that Tsygankova had visited a MHMR facility in Fort Worth on 03/16/16.
