Observations: An unannounced visit was conducted today to investigate the attached complaint.
The complaint was discussed with Mr. Page, Director, Ms. Page, support staff, and Ms. Scales,
Assistant Director. A copy of the complaint was given to Mr. Page.

The complaint stated that the director had been observed ?popping? children. Mr. Page
said that the complaint was unfounded and that a child had been let go the middle of July and
that the mother communicated that she was very unhappy with the dismissal. The discipline
policy of the center allows use of corporal punishment but Mr. Page said that no ?popping? of
children had occurred or any other form of corporal punishment. If corporal punishment is used,
staff must follow the procedures as explained in the discipline policy. This part of the complaint
was unsubstantiated.
