Why bSafe App?

Out of every ten people living in the City, eight ofthern use
smart phones. The day has arrived where people book
movie, concert, travel and other tickets over their mobile
phone: they book dinner tables at restaurant, food, groceries
through various mobile phone apps, and everything is

with the changing stature ofthe city, the Police too is striving
to do its best. Police is trying to reduce delays in response
and designing apps to make life convenient.

We are committed to provide safety and security to the
common man. at every step. Given the widespread use of
technology, we also decided to use technology to serve the
citizens better. To make sure that the commute is safe while
traveling in an auto rickshaw or a taxi {cab or any other
private mode of transport, we have brought Safety at your
?ngertips through bSafe.

The App the initiative of Bengaluru traffic police and the
brainchild of one its of?cers. With this app the commuters
can register a complaint, know the route in which they are
traveling. estimate the fare and many more.

What distinguishes bSafe
from other apps?

The App has been conceived and designed by our own traffic
police of?cer who studied the complaints received. and then
worked with his team to come out with a solution.Thus it has
taken into consideration problems faced by commuters and
responses of the Police. The App has twined both the
aspects to createthe most effective solution.

bSafe caters to Commuters from across class, gender, and
age and has endeavoured to keep the interface user friendly.
The app came into the virtual world after thousands of
complaints were being registered through various modes
against the errant auto rickshaw or cab drivers. To curb their
high handedness, the app was designed and this would help
the policeto bring them to booksll-

 

 

ESTIMATE MY RIDE

The commuter can log onto the app and
Switch on the GPS. Enter your destination and the
app shows you direction and fare amount.
Along with, the app shows you the time to
be taken to reach your destination.
it works on rear time.

 



If the driver is found misbehaving like, demanding
double fare or taking you for ajolly ride all around the City,
then the commuter can register a complaint through the app
and give a rating to the vehicle. The rating would pop up
when someone else boards the vehicle and this would
give a clear idea on how good the driver is.

 

PANIC BUTTON

This button helps you at the time of
distress. When caught in a situation, where things
turn uglyI the commuter can press the button
and a message is ?ashed to the nearest police officer,
patrolling vehicle and the police station.

The police personnel, arrives at your location
within no time to assist you.

IDENTIFY THE VEHICLE

The passenger, after logging onto the app,

can enter the vehicle registration number. Click a photo

of the vehicle or the driver, and upload it. The passenger can
click on various types of complaint like demanding

excess money, refusal to switch on the meter, refusal to go to

the destination, doing round abouts, bad behaviour and

other reasons. Once the type of complaint is selected,
it gets registered with the traffic police at the
Traffic Management Centre 

 

HONKING

A feature of its own kind for the first time,
where anyone traveling in any kind of vehicle can
count the number of times the driver has honked
throughout the journey. This special feature is an

attempt to curb unnecessary honking.

What is the Need for bSafe? I

Commuters are often stranded trying to deal with an errant
auto rickshaw or cab drivers. bSafe enables you to deal with
this and take action. Features like to knowing the fare before
boarding the vehicle. or ifthe driver is found misbehaving.
the panic button will alert the nearest police personnel.

Registering a complaint takes place with in seconds. All this
saves your time from visiting a police station and waiting to
lodge a complaint. The app also sends you a reference
number once you register your complaint and will intimate
you when the action is taken against the driver. So please go
