Subject: FBI First, please keep this confidential in the newsroom. We'll discuss things individually as needed. The FBI has requested that we immediately create, and then subsequently maintain very accurate logs of how much time we have spent dealing with with unauthorized intrusion of our corporate servers. The FBI cannot prosecute a case unless there is $5,000 or more of actual damages caused by this. Your time and your hourly rates count as damages. For now, merely jotting down or emailing me how much time you've spent handling this preferably with the time to what time, and the date, will establish the damages so the FBI can act. The amount has likely already exceeded that based on the number of managers involved, and the fact that the entire newsroom has had to deal with these emails. I recommend anything over 15 minutes be documented. My Example: 11/30 4pm-6pm: Emailing back, coordinating with Chuck, Troy, Andy, and Jason, and Sam 11/30 10pm-11245pm: Emailing back and coordinating with newsroom 12/1 10am-102303m clearing emails and sorting them 12/1 4pm-5pm: Talking to FBI and Jason Jedlinski Jerry Chuck -- contact you later about speci?cs. ?Brandon What matters to you?
