Non-Public School Fire Inpections by Tm of Ramapo

Dear Mr. Thurnau:
- I am in receipt of your letter dated March 14, 2016 referenced above.

Please be assured that the safety of students and sta? in School buildings is a paramount I
'concern of myselfand the Town Board. Thus, the allegations inyour letter about the actions or
inactions of one of the Town?s ?re inspectors are quite troubling.

I have directed the Town Attorney?s O?ice in conjunction with the Director of the

- Department of Building, Planning and Zoning to investigate the matters raised in your letter. I

have also requested that the Director of the Department of Building, Planning and Zoning

determine what sites inspected by the Fire Inspector should be immediately re-inspected by

other inspectors to con?rm the results of the earlier inSpections. Employee disciplinary action
will be considered after the investigation, as may be warranted.
