regarding investment in the Ruataniwha Water Storage Scheme (Ruataniwha). Your specific
questions are;

1. Whether ACC is investing in the Ruataniwha Water Storage Scheme, and if so. how
much?

2 Whether there is any Ministerial or whole-of--govemment direction which applies to
the investment. If so. I'd like a copy

ACC considers that the interests protected by section of the Ofticiai Information Act
1962 would be likely to be preiudiced by the disclosure of the existence or non-existence of
the information requested in questions 1 and 3. Therefore, under section 10 of the CIA.
ACC neither confirms nor denies the eXistence or non--existence of the information

Question 2

There iS no direction from the Minister for ACC pursuant to 103 oi the Crown Entities Act
2004, and no whole of government direction. concerning investment in the Ruataniwha
Water Storage Scheme.
