Yes we have blood samples for # 1500255, C. Warner. As listed on the toxicology report we tested and quantitated the blood for nnidazolam. We did not test the vials or syringes, and the evidence bags containing what was described as leftover "unused" items were not opened, and were left in the condition they were received. In terms of testing for potassium, it can be done but the concentrations in the blood cannot be reliably distinguished from those of naturally deceased persons as potassium rises dramatically after death due to release of potassium store inside of cells. Acetate rapidly forms acetic acid in solution and is converted by the body to bicarbonate so it is unclear whether the blood itself could be tested for it. It is unlikely that the paralytic could be tested for in the blood at this point due to it being highly unstable. It is unclear if the un-injected solutions of the paralytic would be stable enough to be tested after this time span. They maybe. I have done some initial inquiries regarding testing of the syringe solutions, and the type of testing lies within the capability of laboratories who test drug formulations for pharmaceutical firms. I also believe the main FBI laboratory has the equipment to do the appropriate testing. I presume a written request/Order from the AG office would be sufficient for us to release the evidence to whatever laboratory/entity is designated for testing, should that direction be taken. All we should need is that request and where it should be sent and we can coordinate with the other laboratory to arrange a transfer of specified items or all items whichever your office deems appropriate, for whatever testing is deemed appropriate. As always we will help facilitate where possible. The toxicology report and M.E. Autopsy report was not specific as to whether or not such testing was done. Do you know if these tests were done at OCME? Thanks for any information.
