Ray understand that the Water and Wastewater Commission has requested a briefing on the Pilot Knob Smart Housing deal at their next meeting. I would hope that in addition to the water utility being able to present their perspective on the matter, our staff from Neighborhood Housing would also be able to present the mechanics of the deal and the SMART housing program. I think it might be for staff from those respective departments to meet before hand to coordinate their presentations, so that the Commission can receive a balanced perspective on this complex policy issue. I recognize that this existing policy potentially places the interests of multiple departments/policy areas in conflict. I believe having the context from all the policy areas at play would be beneficial to the Commissioners understanding and any potential recommendations for council they develop.
