Section 552(b)(6) So it looks like we got "sand bagged" on the stadium light test that was recently conducted by the FAA. The August 2nd night game, at Levi Stadium, appeared to be much brighter than was the case during the flight check. This was not unexpected. Here is a brief note from the ATM: As for lighting; I left before it was completely dark, the outside stadium lighting did not seem to be a problem, but yes I believe it is different than our test from talking to the night staff, but not at an annoying level and we did not get any reports from pilots. We did advertise on the ATIS so I this might have helped, but as expected the jumbo-trons with moving images is going to be a distraction, manageable, but a distraction none-theless. Let’s see how things go later in the season, we do not have a night game until September 14th at 1730. The next game is Sunday August 17th at 1300. The following MOR was noted from reports received yesterday August 10th. I will assume additional testing was taking place as there were no scheduled events at the stadium. ---------- Forwarded message ---------From: Date: Mon, Aug 11, 2014 at 7:22 AM Subject: FW: MOR Alert - SJC-M-2014/08/10-0002 To: Cc: Michael.A.Galvan@faa.gov, david.b.lombard@faa.gov FYI: sent to FSDO…2 reports Sunday Night MOR Alert for SJC Number: SJC-M-2014/08/10-0001 Type: Public inquiry or concern (including all pilot reported NMACs) Date/Time: Aug 10, 2014 - 0435Z A/C: N231RX (M20T) Summary: N231RX COMPAINED ABOUT THE INTENSITY OF THE BRIGHTNESS AT LEVI STADIUM.
