Dawn Abate
Hi. I am Dawn Abate, a Jensen Beach native running as a Bernie Sanders delegate in Congressional District 18, which covers Palm Beach, Martin,
and St. Lucie County. When you vote for your delegate, you must feel confident that the person you select will honor their pledge and vote for Bernie
Sanders at the Democratic National Convention in July. You have to ask
yourself, what has this individual done so far to get Bernie elected? Is this is
delegate who will vote for a progressive democratic platform to ensure our
Political Revolution continues? Is this person truly dedicated to Bernie
Sanders and will they honor their pledge to vote for him?
I can say with humble confidence, that nobody in our Congressional
District has worked as hard as I have to get Bernie elected. I have a verifiable track record tracing back to July 2015 that shows how hard I’ve
worked. I’ve organized more than 40 events for Bernie along the Treasure Coast, mobilizing hundreds of
Bernie supporters in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie County. I continue to host a weekly phone bank
event at the DEC office in Stuart, where our team of volunteers have reached thousands of voters
throughout the country.
In October 2015, Bernie’s staff asked me to join their conference call program, where I worked with
the national campaign to implement and develop a weekly conference call for each state. These weekly
state calls have proven to be the most effective way for the national campaign to communicate directly
with volunteers. Each week, hundreds of organizers participate in a 1-hour conference call where they
are given specific campaign direction. As a conference call leader, I am responsible for effectively communicating the campaign’s strategy, answering questions, and keeping volunteers connected and engaged in the campaign. Since October, I have lead 42 national calls which have helped mobilize thousands of volunteers throughout the county - and I continue to lead the Florida call every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM.
Bernie has ignited a fire in all of us. Like you, I feel empowered! Finally, a man of political power
that values equality, compassion, integrity, and truth. A man that is fierce and bold - a leader who has
helped create this people-powered Political Revolution. I am honored to represent the female vote of the
Bernie Sanders supporters in our congressional district - and I am a committed to bringing your voice to
the Democratic National Convention

Wanda Casey
Dr. Casey is a federally recognized and State Licensed Title Law Instructor and functions as the school’s Senior Regulator. She is the first person in the State of Florida to pass the State mandated Title Agent Exam. As a
published Author she has written the Loan Modification Program for the State
of Florida along with a Curriculum and Handbook that were approved by the
NMLS/CSBS for Nationwide Mortgage Loan Originator Training. Dr. Casey
has served over 25 years in the Legal Profession as a Certified Legal Assistant
in the States of New York, Georgia and Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Doctorate in Divinity.
She has worked as an Inspector for ManTech in their work with U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement Division of the Department of Homeland
Security (having personally assessed over 50 schools). Chaplain to Florida

Department of Juvenile Justice and assisted many juveniles with re-entry .
*Dr. Casey has personally established 75+ non-profit entities throughout the United States and continues
to assist in the development of Academic Institutions
Community Commitment
* Meals on Wheels Driver - served several years while a resident of Hillsborough County
* Prior Delegate for the State of Florida (Hillsborough County) worked tirelessly to establish phone
banks, attend voter registration drives, campaigning from door-to-door canvassing and being present at
conventions as required to get the job done
* Lemon Law Hearing Officer for AG Robert “Bob” Butterworth (appointed 1996-1998)
* Board Secretary to C.L. Brumbeck Primary Health Care Clinics
* HUD–Settlement Trainer for the United States Department of Agriculture, Bartow Florida
* Works with non-profit entities in the Bahamas, Santo Domingo, Columbia and Haiti
* Chaplain to Florida DOC-South Florida Reception Center (assigned to incarcerated Vets)
(inclusive of college entry), advocacy, and collaboration between providers while working tirelessly at
developing resources throughout Florida’s 67 Counties
Dr. Casey is the proud mother of a daughter, married to a wonderful naval officer and the parents of
her two beautiful grandchildren.

Hello, I am a 58 year old RN living in Fort Pierce and I believe Bernie Sanders is by far the best
presidential candidate to come along in my lifetime! He is the strongest candidate in terms of
favorability ratings, ability to attract new voters, appeal to independents, and standing for true
core Democratic Party values. I have donated as much time and money as I could to Bernie's
campaign. It would be a great honor to serve as a Bernie Sanders delegate to the Democratic
National Convention.
