Dear Mr. Anderson:

Thank you for your April 20, 2016, request for records under Wisconsin?s Public
Records Law, wherein you requested information related to an agenda item from
the April 20, 2016, Board Meeting Notice. As the records custodian for the
Marsh?eld Uni?ed School District (District), I have reviewed your request and
concluded that there are records maintained by the District that are responsive to
your request. However, at this time, due to a pending investigation being
conducted by the District and in accordance with Wis. Stat. we are
unable to release any of the records. In addition, some of the records are also
exempt from disclosure under Wis. Stat. 118.125, because they are pupil records
and other records are exempt from disclosure under Wis. Stat. 
Furthermore, with regard to some of the records, after applying the balancing test,
they are not subject to disclosure due to the public?s interest in respecting the
District?s attorney-client privilege and the public?s interest in avoiding a chilling
effect related to personnel investigations.

Please be advised that this determination is subject to review by mandamus under s.
1937(1) or upon application to the Attorney General or a district attorney.
