We have been engaged to audit the financial statements of the governmental activities,
the activities, the discretely presented component unit, each major fund
and the aggregate remaining fond information of the Town of Romano, New York
(?Town?) as of and tor the year ended December 31, 2015, and the related notes to the
financial statements, which collectively;r comprise the Town's basic financial statements
as listed in the table of contents thereof.

in light at the recent tederal criminal indictment of current and ?former Town officials and
the parallel civil action brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission
{understanding that the allegations therein have not been groven), and the retusai ot a
Town officer to cooperate with us to develop information that would have been helpful to
as and the Town, we cannot and will not proceed as contemplated under the
engagement agreement. Therefore, we are hereby withdrawing from the engagement.
