All of the statements herein are based on my personal knowledge. 3. In January 2011, I submitted a resume on the Career Builders website in response to an advertisement by The Industrial Labor Management Group, The, (Defendant or ILM) seeking applicants to work in Shelbyville, Tennessee at Quintec Films Corporation (aka Manuli Stretch). 4. Approximately one week after I submitted the resume, I called ILM and inquired about the status of my resume. 5. I was told to come into the office to complete an application. 6. I went to office as instructed, completed an application, and was interviewed by an ILM employee, who introduced himself as Marco. 7, i toid Marco that i was interested in working in Tennessee at Quintet: Fiirns Corporation, 8. Although Marco did not ask me to consent to a background check, I would have gladly done so if asked. 10. I have submitted to background checks in the past Without any problem. I do not have any reason to believe that I would not have passed a background check with ILM. 11. I was quali?ed for the job. 12. I had previously worked in similar warehouse positions. 13. After the interview, Marco advised me to call back in about a week. 14. When I later called ILM to check on the status of my application, I was told that the job was for men only. 15. ILM never referred or placed me with any company. 16. After submitting my resume and application with ILM, I continued to diligently seek employment elsewhere. 17. I eventually gained employment in May 2011With McDonald?s. I worked for about two months and earned approximately $625.00. 18. From October 2011 to December 2011, multiple staf?ng agencies placed me with various companies. I earned approximately $3,896.00. 19. The gender discrimination caused me to suffer a great deal of stress, anxiety, and anger. 20. I could not pay my bills or assist with meeting the needs of my grandchildren because refused to refer me for employment. 2 l. I. was angry because i knew that i was quaiitied for the job and the only reason iLh/t would not consider me for the job was because I was a woman.
