It is understood that the shelters are not provided with operable heating equipment with a capacity to maintain a temperature of at least sixty-five degrees Fahrenheit (65? F.) when outside temperatures drop below roughly 50 degrees. Single electric space heaters operating off of 20 Amp circuits cannot adequately heat the uninsulated, 370ft2 structures when there is a signi?cant drop in temperature outside. This is a violation of 410 For the shelters to be utilized beyond the deadline of this Notice, adequate heaters need to be in place and operational. If the original gas heaters are to be utilized, they need to be reconnected to gas and pilots need to be lit. If adequate electrical heaters are to be put into place, it is highly likely that electrical upgrades will be needed. The front shelter on the right, which does not comply with the housing standards of 410 IAC was not secured to prevent access (repeat violation). A window has been removed from the storm door, gaining access, and additional windows have been broken out. Windows are now broken out of the sides of both front units. In addition, old shelter number 16, which does not comply with the housing standards of 410 IAC has been broken into (back row; second from left); the lock has been ripped from the door frame. This is a violation of 410 The right-most men's sink had a damaged valve andlor handle that was allowing water to trickle continuously. This threatens the function of the onsite wastewater disposal system, as such a continuous flow adds a signi?cant quantity of wastewater in addition to the actual use the system is designed to accommodate. This is a repeat violation of 410 IAC The screen door to the men's restroom has no in?tact screen in place, thus the men?s restroom is completely open to insects. This is a repeat violation of 410 The 2nd utility sink from the right has a trap that was leaking, resulting in water ponding in the area of the leak. This is a violation of 410 IAC The left most sink in the men's restroom had a water supply line that was leaking, resulting in water ponding in the area of the leak. This is a violation of 410 IAC Garbage and refuse was stored in containers without lids AND on the ground at shelters 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
