All School Police Officers and civilian employees have a duty to promptly inform the Chief Safety Executive of any instances of corruption, fraud, deficiencies, dishonesty, irregularities, misconduct, inefficiencies, or other similar conditions existing within the Office of School Safety. All personnel have the right to register complaints of any personal wrong, injustice suffered, grievance or injury incurred. However, these rights and duties are not to be used as a means of initiating inquiries into complaints which are groundless, or which maliciously slander another member of the School District. The Chief Safety Executive or his designee will receive, investigate and resolve legitimate complaints from any member of the Office of School Safety. REPORTING A. B. C. III. Complaints may be made in writing by addressing the correspondence to the Chief Safety Executive, Office of School Safety. All physical injuries will be reported in accordance with School District Policy and Procedure with regard to work related injury. GRIEVANCES A. This office is charged with the responsibility of investigating allegations of the various forms of corruption including bribery, kickbacks, extortion, misappropriation of funds and theft. This office will also conduct audits and reviews of all district operations, contracts, policy and procedures that may violate the law or school district policy. The Office of Inspector General reports directly to the School Reform Commission and its chairman. The Philadelphia School District and its employees have a long tradition of providing quality education and services for the children of Philadelphia. The tax payers of this city entrust in you their children and dollars to provide safe, clean, learning environments for Philadelphia’s Future.
