Directive#11 It is the responsibility of all School Police personnel, regardless of rank or assignment, to protect the scene of a crime. If School Police are the first on the scene, they will have the primary responsibility and authority for the protection and security of all crime scenes until the arrival of a School Police Supervisor or the Philadelphia Police. The Philadelphia Police will have the primary responsibility and authority for the investigation and examination of all crime scenes. PROCEDURE A. B. C. D. E. F. G. H. I. J. The first officer to arrive will protect the entire scene and summon assistance necessary to perform the duty. Notify the immediate supervisor Notify School Administrators. Notify the School Police dispatcher who will contact Philadelphia Police radio. Ensure first aid is rendered. Keep School Police radio informed of conditions. Make arrest if possible Prevent anyone from touching or moving any object at the scene. Prevent anyone from entering the crime scene.
