., magnum os-zsezme 1/23 I, Bet Brian Wastella, a Law Enforcement officer for the Augusta Police Department, being first duly sworn, do hereby depose and swear that have Probable Cause to believe, and do believe that: NAME- Kweasia McBride NV DOB-- has committed the following offense(s)- 1) .C-1- Aggravated Trafficking Scheduled Drugs 2) 17A-21 1.1- Reckless Conduct The basis for my Probable Cause Is as follows: 1. On June 26, 2016 at approximatley 1725hrs. officers from the Augusta Police Department responded to Will-Marl, located at 201 Civic Center Drive in Augusta for the report of gunshots. Prior to the officers arrival a reporting party advised dispatch one of the vehicles involved was a white Ford Taurus bearing Maine license plate_. Dispatch was advised the vehicle was said to have a white female driver and an African American male passenger. Dispatch was advised the Taunis has left the area. In meaning a DMV query dispatch verified that license plate comes hack [0 a white 1996 Ford Taurus registered to! -. Through past investigations lam familiar with this vehicle and know it to he 0 en operated by Samantha Tuppetr A short time later this vehicle was located by patrol units at .Mayflower Rd, in Augusta and was occupied by Tapper and an African American rnlae identified verbally as Kweasia McBride. Through past investigations [know Tupper and McBride to sell narcotics in the central Maine area. McBride was Search and found to be in possession of 42.0 grams of what appeared to be heroin. This item was field tested and tested positive for the presence of heroin. Officers obsevered several small rcundish holes on the passeaeger side door area that appeared to be bullet holes. Officers also advised McBride had several lacerations to the area of his head and was bleeding. Officers arriving on scene at Will--Mart made Contact with an afi'ican american male identified as Frankie Dejesus and an afi-ican american female identified as Diana Davis in a silver Volkswagen "a Officers on some observed a small round hole, consistant with a bullet hole near the drivers side door of the Volkswagen Officer: on scene at Wal-Man recovered a firearm from the Volkswagen and another on the ground in the parking lot near the incident, Officers also observed several bullet casings on the ground in the area of the Volkswagen. in speaking with Tupper. she advised me while driving to Wal Mart she made contact with McBride on Mt Vernon Ave. Tupper stated she offered McBride a ride who got in the passeneger seat of her vehicle. At the same time they were by a silver Volkswagen later confirmed to be bearing Maine license plate Tupper stated the Volkswagen was driven by an African American male who was later identified as Frankie Dejesus. Tupper stated there were dares female passengers in the vehicle at that time. Tuppet stated she only knows these females as HARLEY. BLUE and C. is an African American female who was later identified as Diana Davis. Through past investigations I 10Lam. JHIL 03:49:33 am. 06?28?201 6 am familiar with BLUE and Davis and know them to be involved in the illegal drug trade in the central Maine area. 2 . After speaking with McBride,Tupper, Dejesus and Davis they all agreed the disPute at hand was in regards to money being owed between parties. All parties involed agreed that BLUE and Davis got into the rear seat of Tupper?s Vehicle and they drove to Wal~Mart. Once at Wal-Mart the silver Volkswagen parked next to Tupper?s vehicle and all the occupants got out of both vehicles. A verbal argument insued between McBride, Tupper, Dejesus and Davis. McBride, Tapper and Dejesus all stated that Davis was instigating this argument and was being told by the others to st0p arguing. Detectives spoke with McBride who claims Topper got back in the driver?s seat of her vehicle and he got into the passenger seat. McBride stated that after sitting in Tupper?s vehicle he observed Dej esus point a handgun out the driver?s side of his vehicle at him. MCBride stated in fear of being shot, McBride drew his handgun and began ?ring at Dejesus. McBride did not want to speak about any of his injuries or how he got them. Tapper stated after both parties stopped ?ring their handguns, McBride exits the vehicle and begins fighting with Dejesus and Davis. Tupper stated Dejesus and Davis began beating McBride observing Dejesus hitting McBride in the headwith the but of his gun while Davis restrained McBride. In speaking with Dejesus he admitted to he and Davis ?ghting with McBride stating they did it in self defense. In speaking with Dejesus, he claims after McBride got into Tupper?s vehicle, McBride pointed a ?rearm at him and began shooting. Dejesus stated in fear of being shot, Dejesus drew his handgun and began ?ring at McBride. Dejesns denied shooting at McBride ?rst. Augusta Police DisPatch could not get McBride to come back on ?le and was unable to locate any criminal history on him. At this time it is unknown if McBride is providing him with his correct name. .i On 06?26- 15 McBride was placed under arrest for Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs and Reckless Conduct with a Firearm. I contacted Bail Commissioner Wayne Michaud who advised Me Bride be held on $50,000.00 cash bail. McBride was transriorted to the Kennebec County Jail without incident. Based upon the above facts, your affiant requests that the Complaint Justice and/or District Court udge find that there is probable cause to believe that the above-referenced offense(s) has/have been committed, and that the sheila-named defendant has committed that/those offenses pursuant to Rule of the Maineyiminal Procedure.
