The privacy protections in the NPDB statute prohibit HRSA from confirming, denying
or commenting on any of the allegations relating to specific individuals cited in
this article. The law is also clear that reporting entities are compelled to report
all appropriate cases to the NPDB and the NPDB provides clear guidelines to support
reporting entities� compliance with their reporting requirements to fully and
accurately reflect the disciplinary actions against practitioners.
