Subject: Budget meetings

Hi all,
As you prepare for your scheduled meetings to discuss the 18/19 biennial budget the Governor asked that note

the following goals:

Decrease top marginal income tax rate to 5.75%
Decrease in overall budgeted spending to below 16/ 17 biennial levels

I Decrease number of state employees to 9,500

These will be unstructured conversations about your budget priorities. We had originally blocked three hours for
these meetings but it is unlikely the entire block will be needed.
