Last week at the conference, Director Waskom and Sandy Davis initiated a meeting with all the regional directors to discuss issues that some of the Parish directors were having with the American Red Cmss. Most of you were in attendance at the meeting, but for those who weren't, here is a very short synopsis of the meeting, Basically, during the Miss River flooding and the recent severe weather events, most of the Parishes who reached oul to the American Red Cross were not happy with the assistance that they received or did not get some or any assistance that was requested from them. It has also become evident during some of the Parishes/Regions recent hurricane planning meetings, that the American Red Cross may not be able to provide the same assistance that was given in past years Director Waskorn has asked me to contact each of you and request that you contact each Parish director in your region and request a list of issues that they have with the American Red Cross in their Parish. Please compile all the issues that your individual Parishes are experiencing onto one document and email it to me by close of business on Tuesday, May 17th I will take all the issues in each region and submit them to Director Waskom who will discuss the issues with his staff and setup a meeting with the American Red Cross, possibly at our next regional director's meeting. Please call me if you have any questions or would like to discuss further. Hopefully, we will be able to work together with the American Red Cross to address the issues. Thanks and Have a Great Day!
